The image is seen here both as a source of information to be interpreted (input image) and as a medium for visualizing information (output image): extraction of visual information from images and videos, recognition and analysis of images and videos, visualization of information, computer vision for camera-projector systems

Movement

The “Movement” theme concerns the study of movement in the context of human-machine interactions. It is about capturing, modeling, recognizing and characterizing whole body movements in various interaction situations and uses (French sign language, artistic practices, assistive technologies, therapy …); on the other hand, it is about designing and studying the influence of continuous sensory feedback on movement (visual, auditory, tactile, …) on the experience of people, for example concerning their body awareness or their ability to learn movements.

Handicap

The “Movement” theme concerns the study of movement in the context of human-machine interactions. The “Handicap” theme deals with the design and evaluation of aids using digital technologies for people with special needs. Projects are carried out for different cognitive, sensory and motor disorders.
