Teaching and Training

Training in and through research is an important mission of the laboratory. Its members are very active in doctoral and master training. On average, 145 PhD students are preparing a thesis in the laboratory.

More than 200 trainees of all levels are welcomed each year (Bachelor’s degree, Master’s degree 1 or 2, engineering school, IUT…).

LISN’s teacher-researchers and researchers are involved in several higher education institutions. They are mainly involved in teaching at the University of Paris-Saclay (Faculty of Science, Polytech Paris-Saclay and IUT of Orsay or Sceaux), Sorbonne University (Faculty of Engineering), but also at CNAM, ENSIIE, INALCO, etc.

Masters

LISN is particularly involved in the Masters programs of the University of Paris-Saclay:

  • Masters Informatique
  • Masters Mécanique
  • Masters MIAGE

These Masters offer numerous specializations, in particular those oriented towards research. In this respect, LISN participates in the Graduate Schools Computer Science and Engineering and Systems Sciences.

Graduate Schools

LISN is a host laboratory for several doctoral schools of the University of Paris-Saclay (ED SMEMAG, ED STIC, ED SSMMH) and the University of Paris-Sorbonne (ED SMAER)

Several LISN members play essential roles in these structures: office of the new departments, of the Graduate Schools, department directors (IUT, Polytech)…

The laboratory also has 3 elected members at the Academic Council of the University Paris-Saclay.
