ROCS
The ultimate aim of the Networks section is to address research related to user mobility, quality of service and security, mainly on wireless communication networks of all types, with or without infrastructure. New solutions are studied to optimize several networking parameters such as routing, energy, security, scheduling and resources. These solutions lead to the definition of algorithms and protocols that must achieve high-performance results.
The Stochastic and Combinatorial Optimization section uses the optimization paradigm as a fundamental component of the research methodology, which is based primarily on the design, modeling and performance evaluation of proposed optimized solutions. The main research focus is on deterministic combinatorial optimization and stochastic optimization.
The main objective of ROCS is to address crucial topics and future developments, particularly in mobile networks, by developing strong collaborations to solve complex network optimization problems.
