We invite submissions for a satellite workshop exploring the shift from controlled laboratory recordings to crowdsourced and automatically aligned speech data.

This workshop is co-organized by members and alumni of the STL LISN and will address challenges and opportunities in large-scale phonetic research, including data reliability, ethical considerations, and interdisciplinary collaboration.

  • Phonetic/phonological knowledge in automatic methods
  • Cross-dialectal, cross-linguistic, and sociodemographic variation
  • Ethical issues and computational methods

Submission Guidelines

  • Format: 1-page abstract (PDF), Times New Roman 12pt, single-spaced, 1-inch margins.
  • Language: English.
