EXtreme Situated Interaction – EX-SITU

The ExSitu team explores the limits of interaction by studying “extreme” users, such as creative professionals, artists and designers who push the limits of technology to achieve their creative goals, or scientists who try to understand complex phenomena through the creative exploration of complex data.
Studying these users not only helps to anticipate the needs of tomorrow’s routine uses, but also to better understand the phenomenon of interaction itself and to create new forms of interaction. The team’s goal is to create human-machine partnerships that allow users to master the technology, based on principles derived from the theoretical approach to interaction developed in the team
